Human Resources Manager

Our client is an established, stable manufacturer in Johnstown, PA This Human Resource Manager will be responsible for all aspects of HR. This is a newly created position so it is an opportunity to build and own Strategic HR but you also must be willing to roll your sleeves up and dig into the tactical work.

Description

As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall goals of the organization. You will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and training and development.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall goals of the organization

Manage all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and training and development

Partner with senior leaders to understand and address key HR issues and challenges

Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations

Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures

Manage employee relations, including resolving conflicts, addressing performance issues, and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary

Conduct employee surveys and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement

Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including creating job descriptions, posting job ads, screening candidates, and conducting interviews

Manage the performance management process, including setting goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback and coaching to employees

Manage employee benefits such as 401k, health Insurance and life insurance

Collaborate with other departments to ensure the HR function effectively supports the overall business objectives

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field

Professional in Human Resources certification

A minimum of [number] years of experience in HR management

In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Strong organizational and time management skills

Knowledge of safety reporting requirements
